Isabelle Lehn is a German writer of novels, short stories, and essays, living in Leipzig. She received a doctorate in rhetoric from the University of Tübingen and studied at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, where she subsequently worked as a lecturer and conducted research on the historical education of writers in the GDR. In 2016, her award-winning debut novel Binde zwei Vögel zusammen (Tie Two Birds Together) was published at Eichborn. In 2018, Lehn published the literary-historical volume Schreiben lernen im Sozialismus (Learning to Write under Socialism) at Wallstein, together with Katja Stopka and Sascha Macht. In 2019, her well-received autofictional novel Frühlingserwachen (Spring Awakening) followed at S. Fischer.
