Erin Hoover is the author of three poetry collections: Barnburner (Elixir, 2018), No Spare People (Black Lawrence, 2023), and Consent (Black Lawrence, forthcoming May 2027). Erin Hoover’s poems have appeared in The Best American Poetry and Best New Poets, and in Cincinnati Review, Poetry Northwest, Shenandoah, and The Sun, among other publications. Originally from Pennsylvania, she lives in Cookeville, Tennessee, and teaches creative writing as an associate professor at Tennessee Tech University. Hoover curates and hosts a poetry reading series, Sawmill Poetry, and she serves as the inaugural Poet Laureate of Cookeville.
