Laurie Filipelli is the author of Elseplace (Brooklyn Arts Press, 2013), 2019 Writers’ League of Texas Discovery Prize winner Girl Paper Stone (Black Lawrence Press, 2018) and My Heart is a Museum (Broken Sleeping Press, forthcoming 2026).  Her essays and poems have appeared at Nixes Mate Review, The Rumpus, Salamander, Superstition Review, Whale Road Review, and elsewhere. She is the recipient of a Yaddo fellowship and lives in Austin where she works as a college access consultant and provides services through her business, Mighty Writing, LLC.
