Tayyba Kanwal is a Pakistani-American writer, Managing Editor at the journal Conjunctions and teaches creative writing at the University of Houston. Her award-winning work appears in journals such as Witness, Meridian, Gulf Coast and others. Tayyba’s career has spanned program management in technology consulting through arts nonprofits. She also serves as Associate Fiction Editor at Cutleaf Journal and on the board of Gulf Coast Journal. She holds an MFA from the University of Houston Creative Writing Program where she was an Inprint C. Glenn Cambor Fellow, and an MS in Mathematics from the University of Oregon.
