On May 26, the Passport to Poetry Vashon Poetry Fest, a bi-annual literary festival devoted entirely to poetry, kicks off in Washington State. Larry Matsuda will be a featured poet and will read from and discuss his autobiographical poetry collection about his childhood in the Minidoka War Relocation Center, A Cold Wind From Idaho. All events, including the closing dinner, are open to the public.
