Things are happening at the editorial at Black Lawrence Press…the short list for the Spring 2014 Black River Chapbook Competition has been determined, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it! From over 600 entries (our largest and most competitive batch of chaps ever), we’ve narrowed things down to 12 semi-finalists and 7 finalists. (Perhaps needless to say, there were more than a few really exciting chapbooks that don’t appear here. And a few chapbooks that we loved along the way that have already found other homes. We appreciate you deeply. Please keep making our jobs difficult.)
Entries were read blind by a an editorial panel of consisting of judges (previous BRCC winners and published finalists) and BLP editors. Entries were kept blind until today–so we can unveil the lists to you!
To all the semi-finalists, congrats & thank you! We will annonunce the winner from among our list of finalists shortly.
