We are beyond thrilled to share the news that Philip Schaefer and Jeff Whitney are the winners of the Fall 2014 Black River Chapbook Competition for their collaborative poetry chapbook Radio Silence.
Radio Silence will be published by Black Lawrence Press in spring 2016. We’re so happy to welcome both Philip and Jeff to the BLP family!
Philip Schaefer (left) is a recent graduate of the University of Montana’s MFA program. His poems are out or forthcoming in Forklift Ohio, DIAGRAM, Fourteen Hills, H_NGM_N, alice blue, RHINO, Toad, BOAAT, and Whiskey Island among others. He lives with his stunning wife and oblong dog in Missoula, where they are haunted by waters.
Jeff Whitney (right) is the author of The Tree With Lights In It, which is forthcoming from Thrush Press, as well as two other chapbooks. Recent poems can be found or found soon in Blackbird, Columbia Poetry Review, Poetry Northwest, Salt Hill, and Verse Daily. He lives in Portland, where he teaches English.
Philip and Jeff also co-authored Smoke Tones, which is forthcoming from Phantom Limb Press.
