Come Meet Black Lawrence Press at the Brooklyn Book Festival

BBFestDear Black Lawrence Press Friends, Fans, and Family,
Please join us on Sunday, September 13th for the Brooklyn Book Festival.
“The Brooklyn Book Festival is a huge, free public event presenting an array of literary stars and emerging authors who represent the exciting world of literature today. One of America’s premier literary and literacy events, this hip, smart, diverse gathering attracts thousands of book lovers of all ages. The festival is organized around themed readings and devoted to timely and lively panel discussions. The inclusion of top national and international authors and new partners has expanded the festival’s reach while continuing to celebrate and enhance Brooklyn’s contemporary and historic literary reputation.”
– From the Brooklyn Book Festival Website

We will be there from 10 AM to 6 PM, rain or shine. Some come on by and say hello. Here are a few great reasons to make the trip:
1) All of our books will be 30% off of the cover price.
2) In response to popular demand, we will be giving away printed copies of Diane Goettel’s “How to Get Published by a Small Press” lecture to the first fifty people who purchase one or more of our books.
3) We will be hosting a raffle to win a complete set of Black Lawrence Press’s titles. That includes three chapbooks (one fiction, two poetry), three novels, six short story collections, and thirteen poetry collections. Basically, it’s everything that you see on the BLP website now plus a few more titles that we be out by the time of the book fair. That’s a total of 25 books at a retail value of $367.95. The raffle ticket, however only costs you one dollar and one business card.
4) If you are planning on submitting to the Fall, 2009 Black River Chapbook Competition, you can bring your manuscript to us in person and we will waive the entry fee.
5) Of course, the best reason to come see us at the Brooklyn Book Festival is to peruse our wonderful selection of titles:
