The Missing Girl by Jacqueline Doyle

Jacqueline Doyle lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she is a professor at California State University, East Bay. Her flash, fiction, and creative nonfiction have appeared in Southern Humanities Review, PANK, Quarter After Eight, Confrontation, Sweet, Cold Mountain Review, The Pinch, Monkeybicycle, South Dakota Review, Phoebe (a finalist in their 2016 Fiction Contest), Nothing to Declare: A Guide to the Flash Sequence (White Pine Press, 2016), and elsewhere. Her work has earned two Pushcart nominations, a Best of the Net nomination, and Notable Essay citations in Best American Essays 2013 and Best American Essays 2015. She is married to the writer Stephen D. Gutierrez; their collaborative projects include publications under the name Alvarado O’Brien, and a son.
